Windows 8 and Windows 8.1 are same at their core. Windows 8.1 is just an improved version of Windows 8. It offers some better features like change default browser, start button, hot corners, skip start screen on startup and more. We strongly recommend Windows 8.1 instead of Windows 8 (if you prefer Win8).
